3 Ways Using Instagram Can Boost Your Business
With social media continuing its corporate take-over, communication specialists are focusing on three main social media outlets: Twitter, Facebook and LinkedIn. What they aren’t focusing on is a medium that could take their business to the next level. Instagram incorporates the trending hashtags of Twitter with the photo-sharing of Facebook. While it may seem intimidating, with the right tips and tricks Instagram will cross the breach in communication and enhance your social media game.
The first tip I encourage you to try is to engage with your followers, which is important across all social media outlets. Each Instagram user who begins an interaction by commenting on a post is hoping for you to continue the interaction. With each response, you are building a follower-base and establishing your brand personality.
The second tip that I believe is imperative to establishing a company’s culture is to share photos from industry events. Facebook is known for the photos families and friends post of their Christmas parties, graduation parties, etc. If you are sharing company photos on Facebook, why not also post it to Instagram? This engages the social media coordinators that many companies are now hiring.
My final tip is to link each post on Instagram with other established social media accounts. By doing this, you are encouraging your followers to look into your Instagram accounts. This brings in more traffic and peeks the interest of more potential clients. With multiple platforms, you generate new opportunities because you are reaching new audiences.
