Flackable Trolls Controversial 76ers GM Bryan Colangelo With Billboard Campaign
*For Immediate Release*
PHILADELPHIA – June 4, 2018 – Flackable, a national, full-service public relations and digital marketing agency headquartered in Philadelphia, today announces the launch of a billboard campaign asking the Philadelphia 76ers to replace controversial general manager Bryan Colangelo, who is currently under internal investigation over allegations involving several Twitter burner accounts which were used to defend Colangelo and criticize team players and management.
(For background on the allegations, read The Curious Case of Bryan Colangelo and the Secret Twitter Account.)
The digital billboard display is visible to drivers going eastbound on I-76 near Passyunk Avenue, just two miles from the Wells Fargo Center. The display reads, “#WOODERGATE: That is NOT a normal collar. Move on, Sixers, find a new GM.” (Download JPEG).

The message is in reference to a tweet from one of the burner accounts in question, which reportedly defended Colangelo’s fashion choices by tweeting, “That is a normal collar. Move on. Find a new slant.”
Founded in 2014 by Inc.com columnist and lifelong 76ers fan Brian Hart (download head shot), who last year was recognized in Irish America Magazine’s 2017 Business 100 and PR News’ 2017 Rising PR Stars 30 & Under, Flackable represents financial and professional services brands in Philadelphia and across the United States, providing public relations, digital marketing, content development and website design services. Hart says this campaign is a way of giving back to the Philadelphia community.
“Before launching this campaign, I posted a poll on Twitter asking fans if I should do it,” said Hart. “The poll received 1,087 responses, with 96 percent agreeing I should run a billboard in an effort to push out Mr. Colangelo. That’s how strongly this city and fan base felt about sending a powerful message to the organization.”
If the #BryanColangelo saga goes into next week, should I buy a billboard in South Philly to push him out? #Sixers #TrustTheProcess

“At Flackable, we trust the process, and we love this team,” said Hart. “I’m optimistic the organization will listen to the clear message coming from our passionate fan base and do the right thing.”
The votes are in, and the @sixers are dragging their feet, so it's billboard time. Feel free to send me copy ideas. I'm working with 1500w x 500h pixels. Trying to get my order in this afternoon so I can run it Sunday – Tuesday. https://t.co/hL5tYW4LHG
